What Ballroom Dance Lessons Cost in Houston (And What They Actually Look Like)

Updated: 2 days ago

Memorial Dancesport Ballroom sits at 8412 Katy Freeway in Spring Branch, a few minutes off Memorial Drive. We teach ballroom and Latin partner dance to adults in Houston who want something better than scrolling. This is who comes in, what it actually costs, and what the first lesson feels like.

What it looks like

This is a Pro/Am Standard heat from the Vegas Open. Eddie is the pro. His student trained six months for these three minutes. Pro/Am is the format that lets an adult amateur compete in a real championship alongside a pro coach, and it is one of the things Memorial Dancesport is known for in Houston.

What it costs

The first lesson is on us. No commitment, no card needed. It is a real lesson with a real instructor, in the studio, on the studio floor. After that, packages start in the range that most ballroom studios in Houston charge, and we will give you a clear walkthrough of what fits your goals (social dancing, wedding first dance, Pro/Am competition, or just learning a few dances well). We do not believe in surprise fees and we do not run a hard sell.

What we teach

American Smooth (Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Viennese), American Rhythm (Cha Cha, Rumba, Swing, Bolero, Mambo), International Standard, International Latin (Samba, Cha Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive), Hustle, and wedding first dance prep. If you have a song and a date, we can build a dance around them. If you do not have any of that yet, we will teach you a few dances you can actually use at every wedding you go to for the rest of your life.
